Fashion can be, in a word, fickle. It was only a handful of years ago that designers were skewering sweatpants in public, decrying them as a "sign of defeat", and editors left and right were equating the sight of leggings with the coming apocalypse.

Fast forward just a few years and we're plunking down (considerable) change for demi-couture sneakers, all in the name of athleisure. We seamlessly mix Supreme and Stella McCartney, we scan Net-a-Porter for Nike exclusives every bit as much as we do Nicholas Kirkwoods. On a larger scale, we point to what's hopefully, the beginnings of the democratization of fash-un (dramatic arm gestures required), and ergo, its digitization as the root cause. Oh, and the likes of Adrianne Ho, founder of Sweat the Style and fitness model, who makes the concept of being ready to run a marathon at a moment's notice (courtesy of her unofficial uniform of a sports bra, leggings, sneakers) that much more appealing.

We reunited with Ho (we spent a week with the model in St. Barths not all that long ago) at a suite at the Chateau Marmont, where the bicoastal blogger was holed up for her latest West Coast jaunt. There was ample stock of Waiola coconut water and fresh-pressed bottles of Juice Served Here (well, duh there was), and freshly arranged bouquets in mason jars. Ho's wardrobe was a mix of Supreme, vintage, and in a total plot twist, her own label, Sweat —her line of performance apparel. Slipping on a baby blue, vintage Dior jacket over her wares, we snuck down to the Chateau pool without what we'll call the most express permission of the hotel, before she headed off for dinner at their namesake restaurant. Oh, and BTW, we may have also spied the blueprints for her very own Roots letterman jacket. Yup. Oh, Canada...
