"It's more interesting to have just a picture of a small detail - then you can dream all the rest around it.
Because when you see the whole thing, what is there to imagine?" -Dries Van Noten
It’s been quite the whirlwind in New York for Fashion Week. We’ve checked out our friends shows, spent some time backstage at Lincoln Center getting to know the models, shot some great subjects for upcoming posts, and collaborated on a very special project (stay tuned for more on that). And hey, we even managed to snap a shot of Ms. Wintour... smiling! But for the past few seasons, we’ve had our eyes glued to a chic 4some who captured our attention with every red carpet they graced, every Louis Vuitton shawl they rocked, and every sky high Giuseppe Zanotti stiletto that graced their feet. It’s the Courtin-Clarins girls—sisters Claire and Virginie, and their cousins, sisters Prisca and Jenna and we luckily got to play dress up inside their suite at The Crosby Street Hotel in SoHo. We played with their glam furs (we’re coveting their Isabel Marant multi-colored jacket), Pristine jewels, Alexander McQueen clutches and their custom Mugler frocks. They say the best things come in threes – but in this case, we will have to disagree. Here’s to another season of American fashion – but let’s end it on the right foot and let’s hear it for the girls!!
