"It's more interesting to have just a picture of a small detail - then you can dream all the rest around it.
Because when you see the whole thing, what is there to imagine?" -Dries Van Noten

Dan Ragone

President, Interview Magazine. New York

There are a lot of players in the fashion world, but only a select few have a reputation with the golden touch. As the current president of Interview Magazine, Dan Ragone's time at the publication has come full circle, originally beginning his career as Interview's Fashion Director in the late 1990's. After spending three years with the brand, he then moved onto Allure Magazine, discovering the realm of beauty infused with fashion, where he acted as the Executive Fashion Director.

Ragone's unparalleled work ethic and drive caught the eye of Elle Magazine, where he spent his time as Associate Publisher, Vice President Publisher of Elle Decor (a brand he helped build during the magazines two most successful years) and Vice President Managing Director of Elle, before going back to where it all began, the offices of Brant Publications. As the current President of Interview Magazine, Ragone is one of the most respected and valued executives in the game, and with an equally impressive closet, he has established himself as a key ingredient to the success and growth of each masthead his name appears on.

The hat was a gift from furier/designer Helen Yarmak. It doesn’t get out much and actually might look better on this Fornasetti plate.

The ceramic ghost lamps are vintage from Italy, the leather tray is from Airedelsur and the Enesto scented candles from Cire Trudon are all over my apartment. It’s an instant 'mood setter'. The scent is a waxy mix of leather and tobacco.

<span class='fancyPhotoDesc'> Artist Luis Monteagudo deconstructs fashion magazines and also uses them as sketch books. You'd die seeing how he’s tripping up all the advertisements and editorials with outrageous actions and words then he uses the pages as inspiration for larger works.
