The Best Accessories of Fall 2012
Consider this our version of a trend report. We teamed up with the inimitable Parisian editor (and streetstyle star), Virginie Dhello, to bring you the best of the best in this season's accessories for Air France Madame magazine. In one very expensive piece of cargo, Virginie Dhello sent along this season’s most colorful eye candy for us to play with at the exquisite home of the Latners. (You remember them, right? They’re Coveteur legends. Let us re-introduce: Lynda Latner and Yael Kanter.) We took over their home for the day and had full-range of their expertly designed digs. As purveyors of vintage and all things bright, bold and beautiful, the mom and daughter duo completely lost it for the selection styled around their abode. And who can blame them? The Latners had their eye on the colorful selection of Hermès, particularly the tri-tone Birkin. As for us? We were lusting over the leopard à la Louis Vuitton, Christian Louboutin and Roger Vivier, the pops of hot pink from Miu Miu, Dior and Tod's, and the luxe skins by Gucci and Fendi. But perhaps our favourite pieces of the season seem like the most irreverent: The “Happy Pill” bag by Christian Louboutin, the Charlotte Olympia skyscrapers that were pure music to our ears, the plastic tomato Kenzo clutch, the itsy-bitsy quilted Givenchy clutch (which probably only holds your chapstick), the colorful coffee sleeves (thanks, Hermès!) and of course, Yazbukey’s brilliant brooch with Anna Wintour’s head.
