Bronze Medal

The two products we're turning to for a gold-medal-worthy glow.

Admittedly, while we may have once been sun-worshippers in a former life, we at least like to think we've made up for a teenagehood full of sun sins by becoming besties with our SPF (and, well, spending a little more time inside on our laptops and on set than we'd like to admit).

While we may be reformed roasters, we're always seeking out a little something something (read: virtually anything) to keep us from looking like Casper. And so? As we say a collective sayonara to summer, we've been doing double duty in the hopes of gaining a little glow with two products for face and body: ByTerry Soleil Terrybly Hydra-Bronzing Tinted Serum and Clarins Self-Tanning Instant Gel, respectively. For face, we like that ByTerry's color-infused serum can be applied both on it's own, as well as added to your usual foundation or tinted moisturizer for a little all-over bronzing action or even used to create a super-natural looking contour. Just dab on and blend out just below the cheekbones and along the hairline using your fingers or a sponge/blender-type tool. Plus, it gives off an even, slightly more tawny tan with the teensiest bit of shimmer.

As for ensuring that everywhere else remains decidedly un-Cullen like? We're into Clarins Self-Tanning gel because, simply put, it doesn't streak. Like, ever. Our one gripe? It goes on clear, meaning it can be easy to lose track of where you've already applied. That said, it does impart a gradual, buildable, and more importantly, believable color that more than makes up for it. Just give your skin a good slough with a super-grainy exfoliant beforehand. Ya heard?
