Caroline Belhumeur, Club Monaco

Caroline Belhumeur

SVP of Women's Design, Club Monaco. New York

We first met Club Monaco's Caroline Belhumeur as we shot the brand's spring lookbook at her quaint and quirky home in Mount Kisco—the perfect escape from Manhattan. Her home was like something out of a fairy tale—with a white wrought iron gate, color-coordinated bookshelves, Le Labo candles, delicate bud vases and an intricate candelabra (which we outfitted with cocktail rings, in typical Coveteur fashion). It's clear that the job's the perfect fit for Belhumeur, as her closet seamlessly captures the Club Monaco girl; embracing classic silhouettes with contemporary touches. She dished on her most treasured high-end pieces—her first ever, a Gaultier jacket, and the collection of Margiela boots she's racked up from buying a pair each season.

I love collecting rings. Everywhere I go I try to pick one up.

I’m obsessed with green! The painting is by Roland Belhumeur, my husband’s father. He was Dean of Fine Arts at RISD. We have his paintings all around our house, he had a wonderful sense of color. I love the way Dries mixes materials.

My style has always been clean, unfussy. I tend to go boyish and tailored with a hint of girl in rings and bracelets. It's important not to try too hard!

Our decor is a mix of styles… Our house is Victorian but the decor is 70's. We buy a lot on eBay, and many pieces are collected over the years. It's all about the hunt!
