This is a vintage Pucci jacket and the shoes are Alexander McQueen bugle bead. The scarf is a very rare Pucci scarf celebrating Hollywood’s great stars from the 50's and 60's.

I’ve actually only worn [this dress] once to a ball in London. It’s one of those make-friends dresses because people will come and talk about your dress. The mirror is antique; I got it in a junk shop in Long Island. The delivery man was so mad about carrying it upstairs and even more so when he realized the bargain I’d got.

It’s pretty, isn’t it? I have biker jackets in black, brown, white leather, tweed, nude silk… shall I continue? They toughen up a girly frock and the shape suits my frame because it doesn’t add any volume or extraneous detail to my upper half. Just looking at this jacket makes me excited for fall. Doesn’t it look great with the lock on my front door? Andy (my contractor) insisted we get new hardware for the door and did the wallpaper. (There’s nothing better than a gay contractor. They have taste and patience for one’s whims.)

Oh, you’ve discovered my jazz hands fetish. My assistants actually went and bought a top hat and a tails-coat because I ask for them for shoots repeatedly. One-trick pony… The hat actually came down the catwalk in Badgley Mischka’s runway show for fall 2011. I’m insane about these shoes. The clutches are sparkly and jazz-hands so they get double love, except that they are too small to actually fit a credit card.
