In the deep dark depths of long forgotten purses everywhere dust collects. Fuzzy mounds of lint build up in the corners of hobos, totes, and messengers of seasons past. Around pieces of melted mints dust bunnies grow. (Please note that this is not actually how Fendi Buggies are conceived. We totally made it up.) But imagine if you will that Snobius (the little guy with the red mane) emerged from a Parisienne aristocrat’s decade old Baguette. Or that bushy-browed-Kooky spent his beginnings in the 2Jours of a Texas-oil-heir’s wife. Or that the bleach-blonde Buggie, Wild Jess, formerly called a Russian poker player’s Peekaboo home. Forgive for getting all 5-year-old fantasy on you, but giving Buggies a back story is just way too much fun. As a matter of fact, so is saying Buggies. Buggies. Buggies. Buggies.
The glorified-tassel-posse and handbag collection has captivated the likes of Naomi Campbell (who carries hers on her Selleria), Cara Delevingne, Anna Dello Russo and yes, yours truly. Likely because these aren’t your average everyday critters, made of leather, mink fur, and fox hair, a unanimous ‘awww’ could be heard when the furry bag charms and bags, themselves, made their debut. If you can’t seem to choose between the collection of eight bag charms or bags—we know, these decisions can be difficult—take the quiz over at Fendi.com (it’s not juvenile, pinky swear) to find your perfect match. Essentially it will feel like you’re toting around you childhood stuffed animal sans the rubbernecking and side eye. Which is why these little Furbies-for-the-fashion-minded-grown-up have earned themselves a spot in our must-get-wish-list.
We’ll take the whole crew, please. Bags and bag charms.
