Happy Fashion Week, kids! Aside from the glamour of front row fixtures and beyond the hype of namesake labels, we tend to forget that there are hard-working heroines behind-the-scenes, making the magic happen. Fashion Week's greatest saving grace (or, should we say saving face?) is Gucci Westman. And with a name like Gucci—you are bound for success! Mrs. Westman, an exceptional makeup artist and cosmetic designer, has painted the faces of models from Fashion Weeks’s biggest names—does DVF or Oscar de la Renta sound major enough for you? Gucci certainly lives up to her fashion-forward moniker. (And fashion for her is all in the family—her husband is one-half of the Rag & Bone duo, David Neville!) A mommy first (to Dash & Gray) and make-up magician second, Gucci’s name is synonymous with some of Hollywood’s best. Known for her work with female powerhouses like Drew Barrymore, Gwyneth Paltrow, Cameron Diaz and Natalie Portman, she has lent her craft to a slew of Hollywood productions, including one of our faves, “Being John Malkovich." In fact, Ms. Diaz once gifted Westman with a jacket she owned after a Vogue shoot had wrapped for the day. “We were going out that night and she was like, ‘I’m never going to wear this jacket and I think I was thinking of you when I bought it!'" Beyond the faces of celebrities and the pages of Allure, Vogue, and W, Gucci recently found herself on the other side of the camera, posing for an inside spread in Vogue’s January 2011 issue. You may even remember her from a small (but very memorable) cameo in the 2008 Sex and the City movie. You know you’ve made it when…
