Jesse and I have had a lot of fun during the process. Jesse is more of the creative type, while I am much more the business type. Those compliment each other really well and allow for all sorts of understanding. The Tie Bar has been awesome and so willing to let us be as involved as we want or don't want to be. Jesse and I are actually having a blast and now when we're out in the world we often say to each other "that pattern would make an awesome bow-tie," and snap a photo. I am still looking to master the perfect bow-tie. I have to admit, I am new to the self-tie bow-tie. I proudly own many clip-on ties. As we were designing the collection we decided that we really wanted to create a full line of self-tie bows...so I went to work scouring YouTube, watching "how-to" videos. I eventually made a "how-to" video of my own, but you should know, I learned how to tie my first bow-ties only hours before we shot that video. Our second season of Modern Family the cast gave custom Nikes to the crew for Christmas. The kids on our show helped design them in the colors of the show. On one left real heal it reads "Modern" and on the right it reads "Family." A lot of our crew members still wear them and I actually bought a pair for myself. Since then I have designed a few other pairs for myself. It's also a great gift to give.
