Laure Heriard Dubreuil

CEO and Co-Founder, The Webster.  Miami

CEO and co-founder of one of our favorite shops (we’d allocate this statement to only Miami – but that would be a huge lie,) Laure Heriard Dubreuil has managed to transition The Webster from a hip, South Beach shopping spot to one of the most influential stores around the globe. And that’s a fact! We first met LHD when we teamed up with Teen Vogue for our guest editor gallery—hand selecting items throughout The Webster, in collaboration with one of our bedtime, monthly must-reads. She began alongside Nicholas Ghequiere’s merchandising team at Balenciaga, a spot she held for many years, before moving over to become the top merchandiser for Yves Saint Laurent’s Women’s RTW collection in Paris. Along the way, she met Frederic Dechnik—a founding member of The Webster, along with Milan Vukmirovic (who co-founded the French stomping ground for all things glam - Colette). Now, as CEO, she’s responsible for setting and implementing the company’s strategic goals and objectives, which—in our opinion—also means stocking all the Celine, Lanvin and Balenciaga any gal (or dude) could dream of owning.
She has great taste in watches—clearly a penchant for that luxury aesthetic, which has been embedded in her DNA since she was a young girl. “The Baignoire (bathtub) Cartier watch is my Mum's. It was a present from my Dad to my Mum that I advised him on when I was 12! (I saw Catherine Deneuve wearing it afterwards and was very proud of my pick!) It's a shame they don't make it as is anymore.” Well done, Laure. But would you expect any less from a woman whose mentor was the iconic Ghesquière?

You can play around with and paint the nails any color(s) you want on this cuff! These earrings are stunning. I wear them both ways: pearl and/or gold horn in front. The whole line is absolutely stunning, very playful classics with a twist. These two dresses are so sexy, rock and glam! Aaron gave me the royal blue Birkin bag in the fireplace for my birthday last year. I love the oversized shape!

Neon is so in. These yellow sandals are from past seasons, but fall is all about neons, from Balenciaga dog leashes to Givenchy nylon bags! It will go on until spring/summer 2012 as well. We've already spotted neon in the Rag & Bone and Alexander Wang shows. I never get tired of the wonderful view of South Beach from my apartment. I didn't put any curtains up for months when I first moved from Paris. I needed to wear sunglasses inside the apartment but I was so happy, I needed to get as much as light as possible!

I love the Prada lip print that first came out in the '90s and this renewal version from the last Cruise collection is definitely a classic! I bought two pieces in Milano and wore them all summer. The photo is the first art piece I bought and it is a Ryan McGinley photo called "Lily with Black Eye." I totally fell in love with the sensuality, beauty and strength of this photo. It was the only piece I brought from my Paris apartment to Miami.

I wear these sandals all the time. Not only are they super easy to mix and match, but they bring an ethnic twist to a look. They are also so comfortable! I've worn them to many fashion weeks since I could run around in them from day to night! The bracelet is a real vintage Bedouin one that I bought in Egypt with turquoise and coral encrusted in sculpted silver; a one-of-a-kind masterpiece!

The jewel ankle straps on these sandals were also bracelets, belts and necklaces in the collection—some of the first jewelry Nicolas did for Balenciaga. They are the perfect heel height, especially with such a statement sparkling strap. Olympia Le-Tan has been a friend of mine since I was 14 or 15 years old; she was already making bags for her friends then. I wear this clutch all the time, they're limited-edition with vintage book covers embroidered on clutches. So special and unique! These hats are so feminine and delicate! The ones that I own are in the shape of a little mouse with light beige leopard print and green eyes, and the other one is the head of a frog with her two eyes popping-out. People are also always asking me if there are boobies on my head!

I got this bag for my birthday 12 or 13 years ago, definitely a vintage piece by now. I love the color combination of coral pink, burgundy and camel! It's hanging from a BDDW leather circled mirror reflecting Aaron's burn-out piece, which is actual motorcycle tire burn-outs on 24-karat gold-covered metallic panel!

These wedges are fantastic! I bought them to wear to a friend's wedding, to break up the look of a flowy dress and give it a little structure. It was an outdoor wedding so the wedge was good. The pink plug-in phone is a present from Aaron for when we're separated. We can speak for hours but I won't get some toxic rays from the phone! The 1er Mai candle from Frederic Malle in the picture is my favorite candle/scent, "Lily of the Valley Flowers." It smells like spring all year long!

I love this dress, love the print, love all Balenciaga prints! I started my fashion career with Nicolas Ghesquière as a mentor at Balenciaga and I learned so much! I guess I'm totally biased but I'm a total Balenciaga girl! This dress is very special to me as I wore it to the first event I went to to with Aaron, The Earth Awards almost three years ago.

I love the Hermès Collier de Chien (literally dog necklace) cuffs because they're a classic piece from the '40s that have an uptown-downtown feel to them Rock and roll and lady who lunches at the same time! The black leather with gold hardware is the classic one and the leather-covered one is a more recent one by Pierre Hardy (who I love and worked with several years ago for his own line). I love the dialogue of the two cuffs with the dialogue of the cigarettes burning in the NeckFace piece underneath saying "you're a fucking burn-out." This piece made me think of my boyfriend/artist Aaron Young, as his most famous pieces are actual burn-outs.

These are the sexiest espadrilles ever! I love everything Charlotte Olympia does, from her piece-of-art shoes to her candy-like clutches, her extremely feminine and playful hats and/or gloves to her spiderweb gold earrings that she just sent me as a present.

This jacket is actually a suit and I always wear it as a suit, either in a classic way for business meetings or in a twisted way with Balenciaga black leather leggings. I always wear colors and I guess even brighter ones since I moved to Miami. This city definitely calls for colors! The light is so amazing.

I loved this Balenciaga collection, the most Cristobal inspired of all. Extremely chic! This dress is very sexy even though the fabric is quite thick. I wore it at the launch of the Tom Ford brand several years ago in Milano. These poppy red shoes are gorgeous but they're the least comfortable. Unfortunately, it hurts me just to look at them.

I love this picture. Swimming is such an important part of my life in Miami. It's the best workout and I can do it outside all year long. There is nothing better to relax me. This dress is so strong. It's from a collaboration with Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster and Nicolas Ghesquière for Balenciaga. I worked with her on the Paris and New York Balenciaga stores. I love everything she does.
