Owner and Stylist; Andy LeCompte Salon. Los Angeles
When we arrived at Leanne Citrone’s abode we had to double check the address. We weren’t sure if we had made a wrong turn and accidentally wound up at the MOCA. After getting a whiff of freshly baked oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and homemade gelato—made by Citrone, herself—something told us we were most definitely home. As art aficionados we were smitten with the work on the walls and even a few pieces on the floor, including a KAWS statue that Citrone said she could do without. (We—like her husband—would have to disagree; that thing is a keeper.) From Banksy’s to Lichtenstein’s to Hugh Holland’s, the Citrones have collected their fair share of conversation pieces. And that goes for her clothing, too. The co-owner of Andy Lecompte Salon in L.A.—you know, the one that Cov-alums Jen Atkin and Mara Roszak works at and where all the pretty people go—has a quaint collection of Birkins and other Hermès treasures. (Speaking of Mrs. Roszak, she actually popped by Citrone’s place pre-shoot to get her all glammed up.) Citrone’s also got a serious stash of Jenni Kayne covetables, whose store is a neighbour of the salon. “I am over there all the time (okay, every day) and seem to always be leaving with something great in hand,” she confessed to us. Can’t blame her, though. As Citrone said, Kayne is "timeless and easy," our two favourite words. We were especially fond of Citrone’s “Drink your veggies” tee, which was gifted to her by Pressed Juicery founder and friend Hedi Gores. (Coming soon to a Cov near you!) Before we bounced, we took a peek at her husband’s prized possession: his vintage car collection. In true Cov form, we grabbed a contrasting cobalt blue Céline bag and placed it on the car for a picture-perfect shot; a stunning work of art (if we do say so ourselves) to add to her collection.

This is a KAWS. I hate this guy but my husband loves him and fights for him every day (I try to move him into the garage). The hat is from a surfshop in Laguna Beach—my husband has a running joke of photographing the hat in different locations and sending it to his friend; they'll love this shot.

I love how clean and open my bathroom is. I also love my white Birkin although I don't use it nearly enough—I am so afraid it will get trashed, so I keep it for special occasions. I should use it more.

My husband and I are both English so we love anything British. We go every summer to spend time with our family. My mom's friend made my daughter Willow the Princess Katherine and Prince William dolls. They look very fancy wearing my Hermès watch and leather bracelet.

The Kate Moss is by Chuck Close. I love the clutch; I was going to a gala and was sick of buying random clutches and wanted something more timeless that would go with everything.

These boots were meant to be mine. I got them on sale at Maxfield. They were the last pair in the store, so I thought it was best to bring them home.

This piece is from Banksy's first LA show in 2002. The necklace was a gift from my friend Kathy who owns Roseark, which is this high-end jewelry boutique in Los Angeles. We carry her stuff in the salon. I love everything she has and I get most of my jewelry from her.

I love these sandals. I buy a ton of sandals because I work on my feet all day so I have to be comfortable—plus, the weather is so great in California, so great sandals are a must. We always have a puzzle going on at our dining room table, they are such a great way for people to connect without the distractions of things like TV.

I love shoes—but so does every girl! What I buy rotates depending on the season but as long as they all mostly fit on these shelves, I am happy. Favorites at the moment are my Lanvin booties, my Céline flats, Bottega Veneta anything and Balenciaga sandals.
