Liberty Ross

Liberty Ross

Model; Actor. Los Angeles

Sometimes we tend forget that fashion can be fun… And then you meet Liberty Ross. Her eclectic closet and art collection is full of quirky Jeremy Scott prints, electric colours and vintage collectors items that one could only dream of. The London born-and-bred model/actress comes from a family of winners; after all, her brother is the Atticus Ross – one-part of the musical genius behind the soundtrack of The Social Network, the Oscar-winning film that inspired us to start The Coveteur. Ross’ regular collabs with Nick Knight and Mario Testino are just the beginning. Discovered at 14, Ross has had an impressive career appearing in the pages of Vogue US and UK, Harper’s Bazaar, Numero, Dazed and Confused and even gracing the cover of the now defunct (bless it’s soul!), The Face... two times. You may even recognize her striking looks from the campaigns of Burberry, Dior, Jil Sander and more recently, Solange Azagury-Patridge – a personal Cov-fave. And she’s no one trick pony! Ross made her big screen introduction this year in Madonna’s directorial debut, W.E. Starting to ring a bell now? As one of the industry’s most sought-after personalities, it’s easy to see how Ross is a favourite and friend to some of the best. When she’s not hanging with her pals – Christian Louboutin, Jeremy Scott and Tabitha Simmons, just to name a few – Ross is soaking up the killer Cali view from her claw foot tub, which overlooks the Hollywood hills. Cut the girl some slack, though. Being a mom to two with a blooming career ain’t easy, but Ross makes it look like a breeze in McQueen and MJ power suits, whimsical Scott-designed dresses and Louboutin-signed heels. It’s a good thing she’s got her equally stylish husband, film director Rupert Sanders by her side as her number one accessory.

So chic and simple, and the most incredible structured pieces—such a talent. I love this leopard print jacket. I am also obsessed with the Stephen Sprouse print. I bought these flats and the purse in N.Y.

I bought both these pieces in London last summer. I love the glittery purse and the jacket; again, classic yet modern. This is another Tierney Gearon print and another of our favorites, Martin Parr—so British.

I love this jacket. It’s classic yet super modern in textile: printed tweed linen combined with plastic cuffs. So sexy. I’m a huge McQueen fan. I wore this to dinner with him in London for Nick Knight and Vogue.

I love Solange. I wore her jewels on my wedding day eight years ago, mixed with some vintage, so when she asked me to do her campaign last year I was so honored. She has since become a very good friend. I am a bit obsessed with her work!

I designed this dress with my friend, Alice Temperley, for my wedding weekend. It has lilies embroidered all over it, as my nickname has always been Lily. This 1930s purse I bought recently from another incredible L.A. vintage store called "What We Wore" on La Brea. I bought it for inspiration for my first movie directed by Madonna, which is set in the 1930s.

I love this weekend sac! I bought it from my favorite vintage store in L.A. called Resurrection, on Melrose. When I designed my house, I knew I wanted the tub in front of the french windows; I love taking baths, and this one to me is the ultimate. I lay in it at night with the doors open listening to the owl who lives in our tree, and looking out over the twinkling Hollywood lights below.
