Get to know the girl who gets Emma Stone, Mila Kunis and Claire Danes on The Best Dressed List time and time again. Meet Petra Flannery, the stylist to the stars. In another collab with our friends at WhoWhatWear, we headed inside of Flannery’s office to see how she does it. They say being a stylist ain’t easy, but Flannery makes it look like a breeze. While she worked away at her comp, we got up-close and personal with some of the finest goods in the land, including an array of Loubs, YSL's and Atwoods. Flannery’s eye for style is pretty impressive, and seeing the looks she had pulled for each client only reinforced her well-earned status in the industry. Flannery has helped define each of her clients with a distinctly authentic style that truly represents their unique personalities, and that's no easy task. It’s no wonder The Hollywood Reporter put Flannery (along with her client Emma Stone) on the cover of their “25 Most Powerful Stylists” issue. But it goes beyond Stone, Kunis and Danes. Flannery’s roster of clients includes the likes of Salma Hayek, Jennifer Lopez, Gwen Stefani, Reese Witherspoon and Taylor Swift. When we invaded Flannery's office, she had prepped one starlet (we can’t name names!) for a very badass role, which required a ton of leather gloves—fingerless Lagerfeld-esque ones, too. Her office was well-stocked with plenty of coffee-table books and vintage mags, which Flannery told us she references for styling inspiration. And for a girl who’s always on the go, her desk organization was seriously impressive. We dressed it up with her leopard Céline and studded booties—which made for a nice juxtaposition, if we do say so ourselves. And after the day of shooting and rummaging, we couldn’t help but dig into her sweet stash of gummy bears from Dean & Deluca; you need to try them.
