When we stopped in at Sean Avery's Soho loft, we were reminded that you can always rely on Canadian hospitality, as the Jack-of-all-trades hosted us longer than anticipated after our flight was rained out. Avery first appeared on our radar when he left the NHL to intern at Vogue, kicking off the transition that would eventually lead him to N.Y.C.-based creative agency LIPMAN. Avery dished on his love of Tom Ford, showed off his collection of rock n' roll photographs, alongside works by Warhol and Terry Richardson, as well as his extensive tie and footwear collection. In a nod to his roots, Avery even let us in on how he has gym clothes (mainly Wang and Lanvin, mind you) tailored—attention to detail that Mr. Ford would surely appreciate.
