This may be the most incredible gift I have ever received. It was a housewarming gift from another important BFF, Leslie. My bedroom makes me feel so at home! I really love the space and the colors are very calming. I actually made that big pillow—it’s made from a scarf. One of my favorite stores in NY is No. 6. I think they do a beautiful edit of their own designs, mixed with some vintage and more obscure designers. I love this dress—I got it years and years ago and it has been my perfect dress for summer weddings—it never goes out of style—so easy, fluid and is such a gorgeous color. I love everything about these shoes: the wide cone heel, the 2” height, the sexy ankle strap. Violet is such an easy, happy color and I think purple looks good on so many different skin tones. I am really fortunate that my parents made sure that from a young age I began stocking a little library of what they considered to be lifelong classics. Thankfully, I am committed to reading books regularly now since my apartment is the host for a monthly book club with a group of colleagues! I found this spike necklace in a shop where I tend to find a lot of my jewelry… I think it’s from the 80’s. These magnifier necklaces are ostensibly used by Chasidic rabbis and also were used during Victorian times when people read by candlelight. My dad’s wife Joyce bestowed upon me the most incredible collection of vintage leather gloves. My mouth fell to the floor when she showed them to me.
