Shirt, Tibi; White Top, 3.1 Phillip Lim; Shoes, Céline
I think half our sales on this shirt were to our employees. It?s literally the perfect shirt; the collar is removable, and I can wear a blue shirt every day of the week. This shirt sums up a lot about Tibi?s style: minimal and clean, relaxed and always feminine, as well as a bit masculine at the same time. I always think about what my uniform is each season and work that in to the collection: last spring it was a button down shirt, this fall it was a pencil skirt and a sweatshirt. It takes forever getting dressed in the morning because I?m always thinking about why I?m putting something on, and how it will relate to what I?ll want to wear months from now. I can?t ever shut it off. I wish I could. I?m quite obsessive about collecting pictures everywhere, I?m constantly having to empty out my cellphone pics?it?s quite ridiculous. Selling the collection around the world?45% of our business is in Europe?is really allowing me to be quite singular in my focus, making sure that the collection really reflects my belief about dressing in a way that is clean, feminine, and always a bit relaxed.
