We got to hand it to Simone Harouche: not only did she single-handedly transform the Dirty Xtina to the “Back to Basics” pin-up, but she’s credited as the mastermind behind Nicole Richie’s signature style. After building a roster of clients from J. Lo to Miley Cyrus, Harouche created a collection of handbags using vintage textiles scavenged over the years. The result? Her eponymous line of handcrafted carryalls, shoulder bags and hobos, Simone Camille. Sourcing fabrics and embellishments from all around the world—India, Pakistan, Egypt, Morocco… trust us, this girl gets around!—Harouche’s handbags embody the bohemian charm of the '60s with a quirky, Marrakesh twist. Simone Camille has since spawned a second line, “Skins,” combining luxe leathers with one-of-a-kind trinkets. Harouche was also recently tapped by Richie to come on board as a consultant for her line, Winter Kate Our shared love for Céline and CHANEL was an easy jumping off point for our newfound friendship as were her extensive set of silk kimonos. Her trove of vintage treasures rivals some of the best we’ve ever seen... what can we say? Girl’s got good taste.

I am a confessed vintage fanatic - every city I travel to, I have to seek out their vintage stores and pay a little visit. One of these I bought while in Jaipur. The other is from a great vintage store in L.A. called 'Shabon.' That chalkboard is in my kitchen. My friends write little notes. Someone scribbled, 'Monie loves Mebs' that’s mine and my husband’s nicknames.

This is the only way I have been able to somewhat manage my jewelry. I use old hand forms to stack my rings and bracelets and Santo dolls to hang my necklaces from. My husband says I like 'chachkis' and clutter, but I think it looks pretty.

I can wear this with anything and it always perks up my outfit. Whether it be with jeans and a t-shirt, or paired with a short summer dress, this vest is one of my favorite pieces. I wear this Indian war bonnet whenever I need a burst of creativity. My friend Shelley calls it a 'creative helmet'.

The bolsa wood flower art is by Krislyn. She used to have a store right by my old house; which was kind of dangerous for me. These are some of my goodies from a trip to India. If you ever find yourself in Jaipur, go to the Gem Palace! You will feel as though you died and went to heaven. The only other pieces in this photo that aren’t antique or from the Gem Palace, are the safety pin earrings. Which I feel like I must talk about. The safety pin earrings are made by a friend. If you are not familiar with her designs, get familiar, cause she is the S@#T!!!

Okay guys, I know you have [already] heard me say love and vintage… but I am going to say it one more time. I love Zandra Rhodes! I am a huge fan of her work and an avid collector of her dresses. I had the opportunity to meet her and look at some of her archival pieces and let me tell you, it was one of the most amazing experiences ever! She still is every bit as groundbreaking as ever. Oh yes and she still has fuchsia hair!

Four out of five of these are again vintage. I love Winter Kate. Nicole’s line achieves what many brands today try to achieve but can't. Her clothes have a bohemian aesthetic, but the pieces are totally modern and fresh. Not to mention so easy to incorporate into everyday looks. I love that it never looks like you are trying too hard when you are wearing Winter Kate. It’s effortlessly cool - exactly like the designer herself. Nicole is a dear friend and happens to be one of my clients. We have very similar taste in clothes and let me tell you, she is an excellent person to do trades and borrows from her closet with!

I go to India a lot for work and for a good escape! Another plus side to India is the amazing jewelry and deals you can find. These bangles and rings are Indo-Prussian jewelry. You find a lot of this type of jewelry in India. My friends give me shopping lists of what they want whenever I go.

I bought these shoes for my wedding, but then last minute decided to throw a bit more color into my look and went with my red Louboutins. I think you can see them in my shoe closet on the second to top row.

This bag is just genius! The creamy nude tone mixed with the python and black leather is just so chic to me. This bag has a lot to say without screaming it. I bought it on a trip to Paris with my friend Kelly Sawyer (did you check out her amazing spread on The Coveteur?) and Nicole Richie. We went in hoping to find Kelly a bag, but what ended up happening is that Nicole and I walked out with bags instead…

I love CHANEL! Can you tell I love a lot of things?! After seeing these photos I am starting to realize I might have a problem. Before I started styling, I always would say, "when I start to get successful and can afford CHANEL, that’s all I want to wear…" I might have gone a bit overboard…

Just a few of my favorite things! This fur jacket is from the 30's. I bought it from a vintage dealer in London - C20. It's reversible. One side is fur, the other side is this beautiful embroidery - similar to the piano shawls of that same era. I buy the [boots] new at the army surplus store and distress them myself to make them look old. Did I trick you guys? The Carpet bag is one of my own designs. It's inspired by the hippie carpet bags that people used to carry. I use all vintage carpet and kilim remnants, so they still maintain that one of a kind feeling.

I love this dress! I am such a fan of vintage. I won this dress in an auction. It’s so whimsical and feminine. I like that this dress has a sense of humor! The jumbo CHANEL bag I found on tour in a vintage store in Japan. It was my lucky day!
