A little bit of leather and a whole lot of lace. Nobody does it quite like Suzanne Rogers - a Toronto-based fashion icon who has an impeccable closet. There's closets and then there's Suzanne's closet (fashion porn might be the best way to sum it up). First and foremost, behind the McQueen couture and Jil Sander technicolor must-haves, Rogers uses her knowledge and connections with designers to help raise funds for a range global children's charities. Saying she's a fashion aficionado doesn't do her justice. She's brought stylistic powerhouses to the runways of Canada - having put on two major shows for Canadian eyes: Oscar de la Renta and Marchesa. And the best part? She's managed to raise over one million dollars for charities around the globe - while doing it in her sky-high baby blue YSL pumps nonetheless. And she seems to do it all (with Birkin in hand) while raising three beautiful children. Take note and follow by Mrs. Rogers’ example - we'd love to see more Canadians decked out in Moncler Gamme Rouge during our winters. Not bad for a girl who was born in Elliot Lake, Ontario (and a University of Western Ontario graduate) - GO MUSTANGS! With the help of Rogers, we think she’s able to grab the international focus from London, Milan, Paris, and New York fashion weeks and shine a global spotlight on the runways of Toronto.

I keep only one or two seasons in my present closet, the rest is put away [in storage]. I label all boxes with a photo and try to color coordinate everything; I am a neat freak. Spring/Summer is my favorite season, my closet becomes full of color and my clothes seem to come to life! The other half of my closet is all black…easy dressing!

I am a collector of all McQueen. There are many pieces I have that have never been worn and are like pieces of art in my closet that one day will be incredible vintage pieces. The drapery and the folding of the jackets and dresses suit my style of dress. I love to be feminine, even if it’s sometimes with a bit of an edge. That’s how I describe my McQueen style.

Keren [Craig] and Georgina [Chapman, of Marchesa] were gracious enough to accept my invitation to come to Toronto a do a stunning gala and runway show to benefit Sick Kids hospital and the Herbie Fund. I love to harness some of my great fashion relationships into something substantial and meaningful for others. We raised over $900k that night. A huge fashion success, but most importantly for the charities that benefit from it! Keren and Georgina are truly the kindest women and are very dear to me.
