Table Manners
We scoured The Coveteur archives for the best coffee table arrangements to prove those shoes that set you back last month's rent look way better sitting on your coffee table than buried in your closet.
Since launching The Coveteur in January 2011 (can you believe it’s been that long?) we’ve definitely seen our fair share of creative coffee tables. We like to think of ourselves as coffee table connoisseurs, if you will. We truly have a soft spot for a table with good taste. Given it’s a new year, we’re guessing “Revamp The Coffee Table” is on your list of 2013 things to do…probably just below “color-coordinate the bookshelf" and "take up pilates".
We’ve scoured the TC archives and compiled some of our favorite table top ensembles that we Coveteur’d. And we guarantee there is one to match your personal aesthetic: the ethnic-inspired spread like Runway to Green’s Luisana Mendoza, the edgy (but still kid-friendly!) décor like designer Jennifer Fisher’s, the two-tone, more masculine display like E! Fashion Police’s George Kotsiopoulos, the overly-edited arrangement like fashion editor Filipa Fino, the romantic minimalist style like Revenge’s Ashley Madekwe, or the literary library version like Tibi’s Amy Smilovic.
Fear not, kids. When it comes to sprucing up your space, it’s as easy as putting shoes on books. Seriously. Besides, you’re bound to get more compliments on that expensive handbag (that put you two months behind on rent!) sitting on your coffee table (rather than buried in your closet). So, go on. Keep calm and Coveteur on!
